I have always wanted to create a pure green (no fruit) smoothie. A 100% green drink. It’s been a while and I have tried quite a few things. Today I am happy to say that I got very close to a really good one and I’m happy to share it with you guys! New recipe of pure green smoothie (no fruit, no sugar!) created and tested successfully. It tastes great! 100% sugar free!
I usually use frozen banana, mango or kiwifruit to mask the slightly bitter taste of leafy greens and some vegetables. Also, it is easy to get the desired smoothie consistency using frozen fruits. This smoothie is different. It tastes different. It has a different effect on you. Because of its components that are pure green, no fruit, no sugar it is low in calories and extremely good for your body. The 100% pure green smoothie is a great way to detox your body, boost immunity and get lean! What else I can add to it? Well, probably the recipe. Enjoy!
To make this green smoothie for two you will need:
- 1 cup kale, stalks removed
- 1/2 Brussels sprouts
- 2 cups water
- 10 ice-cubes
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 zucchini
- 2 cm piece of fresh ginger
- 1 lime, peeled and with seeds removed
- A large handful of mint leaves
Place the kale, water, ice cubes and mint into a blender and blend until smooth. Add the remaining ingredients and blend until it becomes a smoothie of desired consistency. Drink.
